My Biography

I'm Vicki MacDonald, a home staging professional in Atlanta, operating Stage Style & Design. My expertise lies in staging, offering diverse services to sellers. I provide staging consultations, hands-on styling using the client's furnishings, and fill-in staging with complementary furnishings and vacant staging. The business also emphasizes interior design, enhancing homes with value-boosting touches to expedite sales. Additionally, I offer "Staging to Live" services, helping clients update and style their existing homes. At Stage Style & Design, I transform spaces for both selling and living, catering to diverse needs in the Atlanta area.

My Background & Career

I began my career in the commercial and residential furniture industry, where I spent over 8 years honing my furniture design, project management, and interior design skills. My journey into the staging industry began when I worked for a company supplying furniture to local stagers, sparking my passion for this field and its close connection to interior design. With my background, it felt like the perfect fit.

After years of gaining expertise, I decided it was time to venture into owning my own staging design business. Alongside my business partner, we started small with a group of loyal realtors, expanding our network and staging projects over the next 5 years in California.

However, family considerations led me to relocate back to Atlanta, a personal choice that was right for us but professionally challenging as it meant leaving behind my love for interior design and our thriving staging business.

The Evolution

Upon my move to Atlanta in 2016, I observed that the home staging landscape here differed greatly from California, with a less immediate demand for staging services in Georgia. While awaiting the right moment to dive into staging, I immersed myself in design, selling furniture, and home decor. This kept me occupied for several years, but I couldn't shake my longing for the staging industry.

As the real estate market in Georgia evolved, so did the need for staging. I joined an Atlanta-based staging company, allowing me to continue honing my skills and gaining insights into the local real estate and staging scene. After over 15 years in the staging industry, the opportune time arrived, and I embarked on the exciting journey of reestablishing my own staging and design business – thus, Stage Style & Design was born.
